Age: 13 going on 30
History: boop (i’ll actually write up something if that doesn’t give a general idea )
Personality:
Cassie is an abundance of color. From the very first moment, she proves that she’s a whirlwind of force and pretty capable of handling herself despite her age. Her persistence is one of the most notable things about her (aside from her hair), and with that comes a certain kind of confidence that a lot of teenagers usually don’t have until much later in life. She knows what she wants, what she’s doing and where she’s going, and most importantly, why she’s doing it. But to really understand Cassie, it’s also important to understand who she is in the scheme of things.
She’s a Watcher, a person capable of seeing the future. Second generation.
Because her mother is one of the most powerful Watchers Division has ever known, it’s been placed on Cassie’s shoulders to live up to these expectations as well as make her own way in the world. Unfortunately, it also falls on her to save her mother from that very organization once they take her, and that also shapes her as a person. Cassie is strong-willed and resilient, a combination of dealing with her ability as well as being on her own. She’s not afraid to go after and do what needs to be done, her attitude often not that of a typical thirteen-year-old. However, even with that sort of tenacious determination comes the softer parts of Cassie, a wash of pastels and darker colors to the more vibrant parts of her personality.
Her confidence in her own power fluctuates constantly, sometimes more than certain but mostly apprehensive - at best - when it comes to things of the immediate future. Since it is something that’s constantly changing, it’s difficult to give a concise answer to some things, but Cassie does like a little dramatic flare every once in awhile to add to the effect—if it’s important, it’s one particular method that garners people’s’ attention. So, it’s not completely unusual for her to elaborate a little excessively on something she’s seen so that others will take her seriously. (In fact, this is how she grabbed Nick’s attention so quickly upon first meeting him. Six million dollars is enough to get anyone to listen, right?)
Yet, even with all of these positive sort of colors, Cassie is also full of darker ones. As much as she can convince others that she can handle herself, she does get scared. There are things outside her line of sight that remains heavily shadowed, and she’s not reckless enough not to value her own life. Several times she’s come close to these situations, usually in the company of more skilled Watchers (Pop Girl) or Pushers (Carver). The thought of her own death scares her, mostly because there is still so much she has yet to finish - rescuing her mother, annoying the hell out of Nick - and set in order before that can ever happen. In the film, she confronts these visions and realizes (even more than she already believes) that the future isn’t completely written until it’s happened. However, this also shows that Cassie understands just how dangerous the world is at such a young age, and it’s evident that she’s evolved far beyond that of a simple, carefree teenager because of the complications of being born into something so big. As much as Cassie appears as a literal firecracker, she knows there’s a time and place for everything. The people in those times and in those places make all the difference.
To note, one of the most important people in her life, aside from the presence and driving force of her mother, is Nick Gant. She is as protective of him as he is of her. (She’s pulled a gun on strangers who might have wanted to hurt him without any skill of using them.) Cassie also lives to annoy him or correct him if he happens to say something she thinks is wrong; she’d do this with anyone, but Nick gets the affection more than the solid truth. There is so much blind trust placed in him, as with her mom, and that’s a difficult thing for anyone, especially a Watcher, to hand over without understanding what it might mean in the long run.
Abilities/Skills:
Cassie is completely human aside from one small detail: she’s a Watcher, able to see glimpses of the future. Her skills are not entirely refined, and as she says, she “gets things wrong sometimes”. That, of course, is due to the fact the future is always changing. She draws what she sees in her pad. Her art, however, needs a bit more work.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ / - sees the future
+ likes color
+ tenacious
+ / - bossy
+ / - an adult in a teen’s body
- crappy artist

I know they gave us this whole speech when we got here, but there’s some stuff they didn’t answer.
division’s gotten pretty good if they’re dragging people into space, but...
It’s not so bad I guess. Anything could be worse
Is there an easier way to find somebody around here though? this phone’s kinda weird and I can’t get through on it.
And i’m Cassie by the way
If we've gotta get along for a while, might as well get that out of the way
funny thing about all of this? i didn’t see any of it coming
